Hi everyone,

After using an LLM to write a 40-page nonfiction book proposal and rewrite a 95,000-word novel, I decided to launch this masterclass. Frankly, I was skeptical at first. Very skeptical. But through trial, error, and countless hours of experimenting, I discovered a reality far removed from the black-and-white thinking we often see from AI critics and enthusiasts. The value of LLMs in writing isn’t a simple yes or no—it’s a matter of how and what.

And here’s a brave new world reality I’ve come to accept: using an LLM correctly can improve your writing, whether you’re Dostoevsky or writing a term paper. This is huge. I see this class as part of a broader vision to bring back human excellence. Far from making us worse at our craft and in culture, I believe we can become better. This is an opportunity. I didn’t want to believe it at first, but I’ve come to realize it’s true—or, it can be true, if you know how to proceed. That’s what this class is about.

Honestly, my goal is to share what I’ve learned so everyone can benefit. I love writing. I want writers to stay at the top of their craft and get even better. That’s all I want. It’s everything to me.
